Our food truck is more than just a place to grab lunch. It is a place to try out top-notch BBQ dishes that are slow-smoked with pride right on the back porch. We specialize in brisket, pulled pork, and smoked turkey breast but we are always trying something new on the menu as a daily feature. When we set up for a public event we never know how much traffic we will get. We do our best to smoke the right amount of meat but when it’s gone….it’s gone. Our popular items tend to sell out fast!

Andy and Jill Elsberry (husband and wife owners). Both born and raised 701‘s, we want to share our love of BBQ with you. Our sandwiches are named after North Dakota cities that we have a personal connection with. Because we both work full-time in law enforcement, 701 BBQ, is only a side gig for now. You'll find our food truck open primarily on the weekends; however, we offer special event catering ANYTIME. Both of us have extensive food and restaurant experience, as well as being business owners. Andy’s family owns and operates Speedway 805, a popular Grand Forks, ND restaurant that's been in business for over 35 years! The original chain of Speedway locations was founded by his Late grandfather. Andy grew up working his way around the family restaurant, and so did our oldest son! Jill is ServSafe Certified.
